PEELS – Pan European Electronic Safe

    

CSWi was heavily involved in the eTEN European research project Pan European Electronic Safe (PEELS). PEELS successfully attempted to integrate Health based knowledge systems and electronic sign-off and archiving.

CSWi integrated our parent company's Case Notes Electronic Health Record (EHR) application and a disposable diabetes detection test kit. During clinical trials, data was collected from the device and analysed by Case Notes. Once the clinician was finished each record was signed electronically using SmartCard chip and pin integration. The results were then stored in an electronic archive for future audited retrieval.
