MYCAREVENT

Another pan-European research project CSWi have been heavily involved in this time funded by the IP 6th Framework Program. The project is halfway through a three year lifespan and has currently created a number of working demonstraions.

MYCAREVENT or to give it's full name: MobilitY and CollAboRative work in European Vehicle Emergency NeTworks is a project for developing new applications for the automotive after-sales market allowing relevant repair and diagnosis information to be seamlessly and securely accessed by mobile clients.

CSWi most important involvement in the project has been the leader in the Ontology work package. This work package defines the data model for inter-operation between the different vehicle manufacturers and after-care repairers. The package builds a complete ontological representation of the MYCAREVENT world expressing “vehicles”, “faults”, “repair information” and “symptoms”. The output from this work package underpins all the demonstrations currently available in the project.

CSWi also provides an Advanced Query Service for the project, that can search and navigate the ontology. In the second half of the project the AQS will provide a crawler for all content providers that will automatically spider and classify against the information model.
