Job Title: Senior Technical Consultant

Ant has worked in IT for over 10 years in various positions; these include: Scientific Programmer, DBA and Field Researcher at the Institute of Hydrology in Oxford, IT Manager at Jesus College, Oxford University, and as a committee member of the Oxford University IT Board.

Ant has been working for CSW since 1998 as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Consultant, in which time he has been involved in a wide variety of projects with clients such as Ford, Jaguar, the NHS, and the MOD. His technical skills include: Java (J2EE, JSP, servlets, applets); XML (XSLT, XSLT 2, XQuery, XML Schema); Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript,); OOA, OOD, UML, design patterns, agile software development practices, and other pertinent programming languages and technologies.

Ant has a keen interest in research and is pursuing a part-time PhD in Computing with the Open University. His research interests include agile methodologies, empirical software engineering, and diffusion theory. He holds a BSc honours degree in Computer Science and also MBCS and Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) status awarded from the British Computer Society.

In his (very little) spare time he enjoys extreme sports (spectating rather than participation), rowing, fly fishing (to relax!), and spending quality time with his family.
